Install guide / Public feed channel
Install FXMacroData on Facebook page
Your meter
Facebook page is measured by a declared follower count.
A public post has no subscriber list and no login, so there is nothing to count. You register the profile and declare its following. Followers are priced at a tenth of a measured user, because a post reaches a fraction of a following.
You do not use the browser pixel and you do not call any endpoint. This channel is registered and declared in API Management, and that is all.
Setting it up
-
01
Register the Facebook page profile
Add the exact profile URL in API Management. If you publish from more than one profile, register each of them.
-
02
Declare the reach
For Facebook page, declare the follower count of the page.
-
03
Update it at renewal
Refresh the declared figure at renewal, or sooner if it moves a long way. There is no endpoint to call and nothing to instrument.
-
04
Credit FXMacroData visibly in posts that use the data
The credit belongs in the post itself, where someone seeing the figure can also see where it came from.
The rule that matters
On-screen charts, figures, and commentary are fine. A link to a downloadable dataset or a raw feed is not, wherever you put it.
Confirming it works
- 1 Register the exact profile URL that will carry the data.
- 2 Declare the current follower count in API Management.
- 3 Confirm the estimated invoice reflects the declared reach.
