Release alerts

Get a message the moment a macro release you follow is published: by email, as a browser or app push, or in Telegram, Discord, Slack or WhatsApp. Alerts are configured on your account page and need no code.

Six channels, one setting per channel

Every channel delivers the same alert: the currency, each indicator published in the release, its value and unit, and a link to the release page. Enable as many channels as you want; each one is switched on and off independently.

Alert channels and what each one needs
Channel What you provide Where it is set
Email Nothing beyond your account email. Each alert carries a one-click unsubscribe link for that currency. Preferences, Currency alerts
Browser and app push Allow notifications when the dashboard asks. Works in Safari and other browsers that support web push, and in the native apps. Preferences, Notifications
Telegram A bot token from @BotFather and the chat ID the bot should post to. Start a chat with your bot, or add it to a group, before saving. Alerts, Telegram
Discord An incoming webhook URL for the channel (Server settings, Integrations, Webhooks). Alerts, Discord
Slack An incoming webhook URL from a Slack app installed in your workspace. Alerts, Slack
WhatsApp A WhatsApp Business API account (Meta Cloud API or Twilio): the recipient phone number, the access token, and the sender ID or phone number ID. Alerts, WhatsApp

Setup takes three steps

Alerts live on the account page, next to your API keys.

  1. Choose currencies. Under Preferences, Currency alerts, switch on each currency you want to hear about. USD is available on every plan; other currencies unlock with an active trial or subscription.
  2. Enable a channel. Under Alerts, turn on Telegram, Discord, Slack or WhatsApp and paste the credential that channel needs, then save. Email and push use the toggles under Preferences.
  3. Set quiet hours if you want them. Quiet hours hold push and chat alerts during a daily window you choose. Email is not held.

Credentials you enter are used only to post alerts to that destination. Switch a channel off at any time and nothing further is sent to it.

What triggers an alert

An alert is sent when FXMacroData captures a new release from the official source for a currency you have enabled. The value in the alert is the value the API serves, read from the same store.

  • One alert per release event. When a publisher releases several indicators together, for example headline and core inflation, they arrive as one message listing each indicator.
  • Each alert names the currency and indicator, shows the released value with its unit, and links to the release page on fxmacrodata.com.
  • Alerts are sent when the release is captured, so a release the publisher delays arrives when the figure is actually published, not at the scheduled time.
  • Email alerts carry an unsubscribe link scoped to that currency, so one click stops that currency without touching the rest.

Plans and currencies

Currency alerts follow the same access rules as the data itself.

Alert availability by plan
Plan Currencies Channels
Free account USD All six channels
Trial, Individual, Business, Enterprise Every supported currency All six channels

Alerts for currencies other than USD stop when a subscription ends and resume when it is active again. See plans and pricing.

Alerts are for people; webhooks and streams are for software

Pick the delivery that matches who reads it.

Alerts

Human-readable messages in email, push or chat. Configured on the account page, no code, no server.

Webhooks

Signed JSON callbacks to your own HTTPS endpoint, with retries and delivery logs. Webhook documentation.

SSE and WebSocket

A live connection that receives every release event as it is captured. SSE and WebSocket documentation.

Troubleshooting

No Telegram message arrives.
The bot can only post to a chat it has been added to. Send your bot a message first (or add it to the group), confirm the chat ID, and check that the channel toggle is on.
Discord or Slack returns nothing.
The URL must be an incoming webhook for the destination channel, not an application or bot token. Recreate the webhook and paste the full URL.
A currency cannot be enabled.
Currencies other than USD need an active trial or subscription on the account that owns the alert settings.
Push alerts stop after a browser change.
Push tokens are tied to the browser or device that granted permission. Open the dashboard in the new browser and allow notifications again.
Something else.
Email info@fxmacrodata.com with the currency, channel and the time you expected the alert.
