Free Economic Calendar Widget for Your Website

Upcoming confirmed macro releases for the currencies a publisher chooses to show, with importance markers, consensus and actuals. Built for fx blogs, broker education pages, newsletters. Official-source data, confirmed release times only, updates itself, no API key.

The snippet adds this link under the widget: Economic calendar by FXMacroData → /dashboard/release-calendar. Keeping it visible is what makes the widget free.

Questions

Is the widget really free?

Yes. Standard widgets on public pages are free as long as the FXMacroData attribution link stays visible. Customer-facing or subscriber-only products use the Commercial Redistribution add-on.

Do I need an API key?

No. Paste the snippet and the widget renders and updates itself. An optional free publisher ID gives you a stats page for views, clicks and engagement.

Which platforms does it work on?

Any page that accepts an HTML block: WordPress (plugin or Custom HTML block), Wix, Webflow, Squarespace, Shopify, Ghost, Blogger, static sites on Netlify or Vercel, and React apps. Google Sites and Notion take the direct widget address. The install guides give exact steps for each platform.

Where does the data come from?

The same official-source pipeline behind the FXMacroData API: national statistics offices and central banks, with confirmed release times only.

Does the widget set cookies on my site?

Not by default. It keeps a session-only identifier. Persistent identifiers are only stored if you opt in with data-fxmd-consent="granted" after your own consent banner.
