Widget documentation
Install an FXMacroData widget on any website.
Every widget installs the same way: copy one snippet, paste it where the widget should appear, publish. Pick your platform for exact steps, or use the options reference to tailor currencies, theme, language and time zone.

Options are attributes on the widget element. Only the widget type is required; everything else has a sensible default.

Snippet or widget address
| Method | Use it when | Sizing and attribution |
|---|---|---|
| HTML snippet | The platform has an HTML, code or custom embed element that runs scripts. | The widget grows to fit its content and adds one attribution link beneath it. |
| Direct widget address | The platform only frames a link, or strips script tags. | You set the frame height. The attribution is shown inside the widget. |
Using the widgets
- Widgets are free on public pages while the FXMacroData attribution stays visible.
- One script tag serves every widget on a page, and the script finds widget elements added after the page loads.
- No cookie is set on your site by default. A persistent identifier is only stored when you opt in after your own consent banner.
- Customer-facing or subscriber-only products use the Commercial Redistribution add-on.
Questions
Is the widget free on this platform?
Yes. Standard widgets on public pages are free while the FXMacroData attribution link stays visible. Customer-facing or subscriber-only products use the Commercial Redistribution add-on.
Do I need an API key or an account?
No. The snippet is everything the widget needs. An optional free publisher ID adds a stats page with views and clicks for your site.
How often does the data update?
The widget loads current data each time the page is opened, and the release ticker refreshes itself every two minutes. You never need to republish the page.
Can I change the currencies, language or time zone?
Yes. Each option is an attribute on the widget element. The options reference on the install guide lists every attribute and its values.
